Beef heart is one of the leanest and most nutritious cuts on the animal; it is a staple of our clean eating diet. 

Beef heart is high in zinc, iron, and vitamin b12, especially when it comes from our 100% grass fed and finished beef. Though it can be intimidating, heart is a great healthy meat to add to your rotation of meals. The heart comes whole, but can be trimmed of fat and connective tissue and then cut into steaks or cubes before cooking.

We recommend preparing beef heart steaks hot and fast on the grill or in a pan until medium rare and serving with a light, fresh salad or sauce to balance the rich beefy flavor. Beef heart also makes excellent stew meat for cold winter nights - prepared low and slow.
