We produce wholesome, deeply nutritious, and sustainable food that improves the health of people, animals, soil, and the planet.
We utilize a farming model that increases the biodiversity, growth, and fertility of our pastures by harnessing the power of the sun, good soil, and animal poop.

We currently partner with other small, local family farms to provide chicken and turkey. Chickens are raised outdoors and moved daily to fresh grass with plenty of space to scratch for insects. They are also fed supplemental, non-GMO feed. The result is flavorful, nutritious meat. We maintain a flock of about 300 laying hens here at Red House Ranch. Our hens produce eggs with dense, bright orange yolks packed with healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. We do not ship eggs but you can find our eggs at Greenstar in Ithaca or buy them at our farm store.

We raise our pigs using the silvopasture method—that means they are raised partially in the forest. Pigs are highly intelligent. Raising them in the forest provides the most stimulating environment to complement their innate curiosity. Plus, the pigs provide natural fertilizer that encourages new growth on the forest floor. Being outdoors and able to exercise freely produces darker, more nutritious pork that will make you wonder why you ever put up with the “other white meat” for so long.

Our cattle are moved to fresh pasture daily, a technique called mob grazing. This technique gives our cattle access to the top one-third of growing grass, which contains the most carbohydrates. Our cattle love it, plus it helps them grow quickly and accumulate the most nutritious fatty acid compounds. Our cattle are also given free access to supplemental minerals, optimizing their nutrient intake and producing the most nutrient dense product possible. The marbling on this meat is incredible!
