Cut from the chuck or shoulder portion of our grass fed beef, this roast consists of multiple muscles bound together with fat and connective tissue. It’s a complete protein; incredibly tender and flavorful to boot! Our chuck roasts are about 2 inches thick.
This cut requires a low and slow cook to allow the fat and connective tissue to fully break down. Chuck roast takes some time to prepare but little attention to make the entire dish tender and flavorful.
Just add liquid - broth, water, canned tomatoes - and your favorite aromatics to your slow cooker of choice and braise slowly til tender and falling apart. Serve with polenta, potatoes, or a keto friendly butternut or spaghetti squash.
Chuck roast is easy to prepare in your Crock Pot, Insta Pot, Dutch oven or smoker.
Each Red House Ranch beef chuck roast weighs about about 3 lbs.
