Beef short ribs are cut from the 6th through 12th ribs of the cow. Each piece of grass-fed beef consists of highly marbled meat hugging the bone. These muscles are highly used which leads to the development of rich flavor and a tough texture that requires low and slow cooking to a temperature of 185° or above to become tender. 

Short ribs are perfect for cozy winter braises and stews. Our favorite recipes are asian inspired braised short ribs or a short rib ragu. Use a slow cooker or Instant Pot to save time and effort when cooking this great cut! 

Each package of Red House Ranch beef short ribs weighs roughly two and a half pounds which is enough meat for two to three servings.
