Danish Meat Balls - Frikadeller

Danish Meat Balls are simply delicious.
Made with pasture raised ground pork and a few other basic ingredients you're sure to have on hand, this meal-time fav can be prepared very quickly.
Frikadeller pair well with any veg but are traditionally served with potatoes and red cabbage.
Better make extra - your family is sure to ask for more.

Ingredients
- (2 pounds) Pasture Raised Ground Pork
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 2 slices white bread, soaked in milk or substitute 1/2 cup oatmeal for GF
- 2 pasture raised eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- Butter for the pan - about 1/4 cup.
Directions
- Combine all ingredients by hand or in your stand mixer.
- Shape into egg-shaped balls and saute in melted butter til all sides are nicely browned and no pink remains.
- In a hurry? Lightly brown and transfer meat balls to a baking pan and finish in a 350 degree, pre-heated oven.
- Traditionally Danish Meat Balls are quite large; as big as an extra-large egg.
- Frikadeller can easily be frozen for future meals.
- Serve with your favorite veg or with a fresh green salad.
